Dealers to D.C. NLBMDA Advocacy Grant Program

The Dealers to D.C. Grant Program strengthens NLBMDA’s advocacy efforts by increasing dealer participation at our annual Legislative Fly-In. This program offers financial assistance to help bring LBM dealers to Washington, D.C., particularly those who have not recently attended or operate in states not typically represented, ensuring a broader range of member voices on Capitol Hill.

Ten NLBMDA dealer members (one from each of our eight Federated Association Partners and two At-Large dealers) will receive $750 reimbursements to help cover eligible expenses incurred through their participation in the 2026 Spring Meeting & Legislative Conference. Advocacy Grants are designed to reduce barriers to participation and support NLBMDA’s goal of growing dealer engagement in federal policy discussions that impact the lumber and building materials industry.

First Time Attending a Legislative Fly-In?

First-time fly-in attendees often face the dual challenge of setting aside time from their businesses and navigating an unfamiliar environment meeting with lawmakers and staff on high-stakes issues impact the industry. NLBMDA staff will be available before and during the conference to offer support, answer questions, and support attendees navigate the schedule, ensuring every dealer can engage fully in advocacy efforts that strengthen the industry’s voice in Washington.
