Ken Wingert, Chief Advocacy Officer, NAHB    

Ken Wingert, Chief Advocacy Officer for the National Association of Home Builders, will provide a keynote address on the federal legislative and regulatory priorities of the National Association of Home Builders. As a key partner on several NLBMDA legislative priorities, attendees will hear what priorities NAHB will be advocating for this year. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the shared advocacy opportunities ahead to advance and strengthen the industry.

The Outlook for Small Business Regulations in 2026

Event attendees will be joined by Bruce Lundegren, Assistant Chief Counsel at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, who will provide a comprehensive overview of the 2026 regulatory landscape as it impacts small businesses. The session will cover key rulemakings impacting our industry as well as recap the recent deregulatory actions being taken by the new administration. Attendees will gain insight into emerging regulatory priorities and opportunities to shape the rulemaking process in the months ahead.

Senate Banking Committee: Unpacking ROAD to Housing 

Majority and minority committee staff from the Senate Banking Committee will join NLBMDA staff in breaking down the ROAD to Housing Act, Congress’s most ambitious effort in several congresses to bring sweeping reforms to the structural barriers inhibiting new construction and affordability. Attendees will learn about the legislation’s genesis, a high-level overview of what it aims to accomplish, and an outlook on the path to passage.
